THEMES AND VARIATIONS FOR 10 INSTRUMENTS AND 1 ACTRESS, is an experimental video about the relationship of visuals to music. Each short musical variation is developed in a series of 6 episodes, in which the visuals and music undergo a simultaneous evolution of emotion; from happy, to joyful, to sad, and angry.
This short film premiered at the Walter Reade Theater in Lincoln Center in April 2007, accompanied by a live orchestral ensemble.
